Meaning:

to obtain sth., to get hold of sth.

 

Example sentences:

Végre szereztem egy jó porszívót.

Finally got-I a good vacuum-cleaner.

I finally got (ie. obtained) a good vacuum cleaner.

 

A világjárvány elején nem lehetett szerezni vécépapírt.

The pandemic beginning-its-on not was-possible to-get-hold-of toilet-paper.

It wasn’t possible to get hold of toilet paper at the beginning of the pandemic.
